  Today my ground the Naija Adventurers and I Mr sponsorship took our hiking activity to another level .
  For several months we have passed The Yearling Katampe Extension Trail as we make our way to several Rocks and Mountain  that are near it. Hiking the trail has been on our list for months, but every time we pass by it's  either too hot outside or not really a perfect time for hike. A couple of Days ago, our Adventure Master and the Mayor decided that during our Saturday hiking we would hike the trail. Today, we had nice cool morning to go take the hike, so we did!
  We had a very large turn out as usual and most of them are first timers 
  
  
  

  
  

LITTLE ABOUT KATAMPE DISTRICT ABUJA

Abuja as a capital city of Nigeria is divided into FCT (federal capital territory) and area councils. The FCT is subdivided into PHASES of which include (phase 1, 2 and 3).
Though, FCT  itself is also an area council known as AMAC (Abuja municipal area council), within the jurisdiction of both FCDA (federal capital development authority) and AMAC , the earlier superior being the central government.
KATAMPE is in the phase 2 of Abuja FCT and bounded by MABUSHI, MAITAMA, JAHI & KATAMPE EXTENSION.

It has a unique location with a latent value of a “GOLD MINE” for both investors and speculators as at today.
PHASE 1 , comprising of maitama, asokoro, wuse and garki is far and over exhausted in land and design wise, there is nothing new to compete with contemporary architecture. The likes of JABI and UTAKO in phase2, has proven the effect of modern architecture given infrastructure provision
Maitama, asokoro and wuse 2 are the highbrow and sought after area of phase 1 while jabi and utako are that of phase 2, KATAMPE has the potentials to surpass the above areas.

                       NUNO (COW MILK )was sold by one of the villagers, we stopped to have some.
